(Foeniculum vulgare Mill., Shatapushpa)
Indigestion:
3–5 gm powder of Saunf mixed with fried Jeera (Cumin) powder and rock salt; take with warm water thrice daily.
Diarrhoea / Dysentery:
3–5 gm powder with buttermilk 3–4 times daily.
Abdominal Pain:
3–5 gm powder with buttermilk 3–4 times daily.
Bad Breath:
Chew a small quantity after food.
Loss of Appetite:
3–5 gm powder of roasted Saunf with buttermilk, a little pepper powder, and salt twice daily.
